Even though I like to say that chocolate chose me, my love for it has been growing ever since the first bite. Culminating with the realization that I’m most happy in the kitchen creating, Soulever Chocolates emerged. They embody the healthy eating that I was raised on and to which I have returned in these last few years of living in the Pacific Northwest.
My mission is to provide healthy happiness to those with a sweet tooth who want to be bad when they know they should be good. Most chocolates are made entirely with organic ingredients; all are made with low-glycemic sweeteners, and are dairy-, soy-, and gluten-free. Whenever possible, the ingredients that I use are also locally sourced. Great for people who are health-conscious or who have dietary restrictions, Soulever Chocolates possess the deliciously indulgent taste that all true chocolate lovers desire.
Whole foods, no fillers. Ingredients that you can pronounce without having to wonder why they’re in your food. That’s how I choose to create my chocolates. And it works quite well, in fact.
I have been living in Seattle since September of 2012, and most recently I moved to Upper Queen Anne. I really enjoy walking my dog Indie around our beautiful neighborhood and along the canal connecting the Puget Sound to Lake Union. I love to practice yoga, and still travel back to Spira Yoga in West Seattle to do so; it is by far my favorite studio in the city. My practice has become more meaningful to me since I began coming here. When I’m not in the kitchen, on a walk with Indie, or on the mat, you can find me foraging for mushrooms and nettles, hiking or snowboarding in the Cascades, gardening in my back yard, reading a good book, or humming along to a tune.
